In August 2020 NICE published guidelines recommending acupuncture for chronic pain. They found that there is a large evidence base that acupuncture is clinically effective for chronic pain such as back pain, sciatica, headaches, IBS, neuropathic pain, osteo arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and endometriosis.
